So Thankful!
November 22, 2007
Happy Thanksgiving! We are enjoying a nice thanksgiving celebration at our home today. Matt is home with us visiting from Anderson, and Jon and Michelle have come over to have Thanksgiving with us. Aaron and Ida Lee, Mary Lou’s parents, are visiting from Fort Wayne. It is so meaningful having all our family with us this year. We have been watching Green Bay play Detroit on T.V. Green Bay is leading at halftime, 17-9. We will be having our big Thanksgiving meal at 3:00 p.m.
God has been soooo Good to us this year. We have encountered many changes with the start of Journey Church, and God has faithfully provided for all of our needs. I am especially thankful for my salvation in Jesus Christ and the hope that He gives me! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family! I pray that God will use our lives this coming year to help more people come to know Him personally. Let’s give praise to the Lord with everything that’s within us!!!
“O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good.”
The Letter
November 15, 2007
Mary Lou and I have been sponsoring a 10-year old young girl who lives in India with her parents and grandparents. The other day we received our first handwritten note from this girl. It was so exciting! She told a little bit about her family and that they have a pet calf that lives in the home with them. It meant so much to Mary Lou and me to hear from this girl. Receiving the letter from Veeramaal reminded me how important our monthly support checks are to this girl. Isn’t it incredible that we can impact another person’s life all the way around the world through our faithful giving?
“Lord, I pray for this girl’s life and family today. Bless her, provide for her, and help her as she grows up. I pray that Veeramaal will come to know You as her own personal Savior and Lord. Meet all of her needs through Jesus Christ, our Lord.” Amen.
