Happy New Year 2013!
January 1, 2013
Most people look forward to the new year with optimism because it represents “a new beginning”. As the old year of 2012 passes behind us, we are all glad that despite adversities, disappointments, setbacks, griefs, or struggles of many kinds, a new year stretches out in front of us. With this new year comes “new opportunities”, “new challenges”, “new relationships”, and “new directions”. Although we may have faced difficult times, we have grown through those times and have matured and developed in our character.
I hope that each of us will cultivate a closer walk with God in 2013 and let Him direct our steps. Let’s ask for His power to change our lives, His grace to heal our hurts, His goodness to surround our lives, and His peace to guard our hearts. May we live for His glory and honor in 2013!
“Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!” Isaiah 43:18-19
