It’s so easy for us as leaders to get stuck in “ruts”. How often have we found ourselves doing the same old things over and over again; or using the same methods and materials year after year, without bringing in something fresh and new. Do you challenge yourself and your team, to be more creative and innovative in your work? Are you open to new ideas, new directions, and doing things differently so as to be more effective in your work? Are you growing in your leadership abilities, or have you gone stale?
It is always of vital necessity that we stay fresh! We need not fear accepting new challenges when they come, for they may be the means to added growth and effectiveness in our leadership! We cannot continue to live off of “old victories”. We cannot continue to cling to outdated strategies that are no longer effective or helping us reach our goals. We need to trust God for fresh leading, fresh ideas, fresh vision, and fresh strength for our work! Let’s lead by example. Let your team see that you are a growing leader. Let your team see that you are open to new ideas, new approaches, and new creative strategies.
Stay fresh! Stay committed to the Lordship of Jesus Christ…and let Him lead!
“No one patches old clothes by sewing on a piece of new cloth. The new piece would shrink and tear a bigger hole. No one pours new wine into old wineskins. The wine would swell and burst the old skins. Then the wine would be lost, and the skins would be ruined. New wine must be put into NEW wineskins.”
